I was pretty much contradicting myself. To have a level of empathy I have to be willing to understand that I might be wrong sometimes and that someone else's perspective might open up my opinion to something else but I wasn't willing to move on my own values and morals. The less the more I let go of the ego I have the easier it becomes to do it because it's okay if I'm wrong and it's okayIf someone wholeheartedly disagrees with me they would reach out to talk about it instead of harboring that and resenting me for it right?
