The Importance of Patience

Many scholars believe that this parable was told by Jesus to deal with the impatience of those who thought they should see more happening than they were. And isn't that how it seems for us? We can grow impatient as we await certain results in ourselves, in the world, and in other people. I remember one day my daughter when she was younger, she would save up her money and we go to this shop that had all these cheap little crafts and things that you could get. She bought what we were told on the package was a magic tree. It's not growing. Sewing takes work, but growth takes time.
