The Fuel Oil Heat Exchange

Ice had formed within the fuel system, released and caused a restriction to the engine at the face of the fuel oil heat exchange on both engines. Ice had formed from water that occurred natural in the fuel while the aircraft operated with low fuel flows over a long period. The localized fuel temperatures were in the area described as the sticky range. They were in that sticky range where ice will adhere to its surroundings.
