What's the Alternative to Liz Truss?
If MPs decide that Liz Truss shouldn't be prime minister, then do they put in a candidate of their own choosing? What does that mean for the membership and the party membership who've just elected Liz Truss have very mixed views about whether or not they should have a say. And if they do get a say, that means the leadership contest and how palatable is that.? So you end up in this kind of messy tangle. I think a lot of people are feeling that that's where the party's at in the moment. Chris? Let's just might try and fight on. We shouldn't underestimate the likelihood of that.
