The Human Graft in the Rat Brain

The organoids are transplanted into the part of the brain that receives input primarily from whiskers. The human graft grows up to nine times in its volume and ultimately covers about a third of a rat's hemisphere. Researchers have been very preoccupied by the welfare of the animal, making sure that there are no consequences.
