The Pythagorean Platonic Tradition

The great Pythagorean platonic tradition was born with Plato and then it was carried forward in intellectual history, beginning with some of the early Christians. We see the tradition as early as Justin Martyr, who is our earliest Christian apologist. And so I think that it's a marvelous and remarkable thing to reflect upon that Kepler is the product of this grand intellectual history at the time and place he was.
