The History of the Aztecs
The florentine codex is an incredible account of the culture, religion, society and history of the aztec people. But it's important to remember that it was created under the supervision of a european priest who had his own set of agenders. Another key character in recording the mashika experience was a dominican monk called frey diego duran. Duran was rare among the europeans, most whom never learned the indigenous languages of mexico.
