The cat on the Dovra fell is a short Norwegian fairy tale. A man caught a great white bear, which he was going to take to the king of Denmark. When they returned into a cottage where a man lived, Helivor asked him if he could get a house room there for his bear and himself. He said that every Christmas Eve, such a pack of trolls comes down upon us that we're forced to flit.
