The Checkout extensibility is a program that there are dozens, if not more partners like Rebye and others where you can now pull into functionality into Checkout. And that is available only for Shopify Plus merchants. So essentially, instead of having to hard code things and put a JavaScript into your Checkout.liquid, you can now add frankly better customization to your Checkout through Check Out extensibility.
