The UK's Financial Services Regulator Says Asset Managers Are Putting Investors at Risk
The FCA says many mutual fund houses did not use their asset management tools. The UK has seen issues with liquidity for example in 2019 when Neil Woodford's equity fund was gated following large scale redemptions. HSBC, Nat West, Lloyd and Barclays are accused of increasing mortgage rates quickly along with the Bank of England's hikes but acting more slowly on savings accounts. Landlord David France says his borrowing costs of sword but banks haven't been helpful with his savings.
