Paul was not as great in person and there had been all of these other more impressive Christian teachers and celebrities who'd been showing up with letters of recommendation. Paul doesn't try to make the case that he really is the most gifted eloquent speaker and everybody should like his style the most. Rather, he points out that this dispute is dumb.
