I think it's hard to maintain the idea that there is this layer of meaning over and above reference. I mean, crib key sort of doesn't fully commit himself to millionism, but yeah, he flirts with it. So these things can be individuated at different granularities. And if you think in terms of ways, that's very natural. Think about ways of dancing, for example. If you imagine someone at a ceremony dancing in a certain way, and then you attend a ceremony a few years later, and they're dancing similarly, one person watching the second performance might say, Oh, they're dancing in just the same way as they were at the last one
