The Greatest Practical Teacher of Politics

Machiavelli is of all the political theorists the one most deeply attuned to its reality. Great politicians make their time and control their time, bad politicians are kind of victims of time. It's almost always too late this knowledge. If somebody masters chance they probably don't even realize how good they are doing it. And I just think there's no one who understands that better than Machiavelli.
