The Cost of Consensus
I mentioned the word power earlier, which is one I keep coming back to too largely through my conversations with Jason Lowry. We want to have consensus on the words we're using to communicate. But sometimes there's a word that may not be high enough of a resolution. So when you say the word power, someone may interpret it in the physical sense, whereas another person interprets it in the political sense and therefore they end up talking past each other. And then I would let the conversation over to like how we influence and change the world. Changing language is the most powerful way that we can change the world in a very literal sense inside people's brains.
