What Is China's Zero COVID Policy?
China has been pursuing something called zero COVID for the last two years. The goal was to maintain tight quarantine on anybody coming into the country. It meant that any cases that were picked up were not only with the people themselves quarantined, their close contacts were quarantined. This is what we think of now as zero COVID policy. But implementation still very much is localized and is often quite different from province to province or city to city.
