Haldeman and Gordon - Robot Slugfest Movie?

The forever war is often brought up as kind of a counterbalance to the the largely a pro war narrative of the original novel, starship troopers. The project with haldeman working on the script that would ultimately become robot jocks was directed by stuart gordon. They were both realy excited about it, but it never came together. I think the way they cribed it as, like, regan was elected, and then kind of like things changed. There was less funding for the artsd and therefore the project didn't happen.
