The perpetuation might be one of the most original things any American poet has ever produced. I don't tire of just going back to Emily Dickinson's poems. She was this kind of very short, very private woman who seldom went out of her house. We don't really know all the complexities of her mental health and challenges but she thought poetry as a way to express herself.
