We Were Never Modern is a new book by French social scientist Jean-Claude Latour. In it, La Tour argues that we've never been modern from the early 1990s. He says economists are always gathering data and not reflecting on its ultimate truth. The aim of his work was to strengthen the balance between economic growth and political power.
