The hygiene hypothesis has been partially discredited. But it can't possibly be the only answer because you will see, like I said, their in farming communities have the exact same amount of allergies in the developing worlds now. There's some other component at play that can't just be explained by that protective effect of having older siblings and being in the countryside. So maybe it hasn't been partially discredited so much as it's not the soul. It's one of the factors.
