Foucault: Is There a Conjugation?

According to Foucault, this is because you start seeing the birth of this notion that a marriage is more than a transference of property. And suddenly for the first time, at least from a legal perspective, women appear as legal subjects who either consent or don't consent. So there is a kind of becoming free of marriage and reciprocal, even if it's not, of course, entirely equal.
