'Cream With the Future'

Cream with the Future went to number 17 on the charts, not a bad position but a flop compared to their previous album. Bill Graham in particular took this as more proof that he had been right when for the last few months he'd been attacking the group as self-indulgent. Slick and Dryden decided that either Bill Graham was going as their manager, or they were going. But the group soldered on and recorded their fourth album, Crown of Creation. This album contained several songs that were influenced by science fiction novels.
