Superman became the biggest selling thing since sliced bread. Sales of his magazine soon climbed to a million copies. Merchandise clogged shelves. Marvel, at this point, isn't really a super hero company. They'd been founded as one back in 19 39. Like a lot of comic book publishers, they were born to chase the success of superman.
