Mika, one of the characters, gets locked in the dungeon and learns that Martin doesn't know what happened to Harriet, which is a crucial plot element. Elizabeth saves Mika, and Martin eventually drives into oncoming traffic. Elizabeth decides not to involve the cops and burns evidence of Martin's crimes. It is also revealed that Harriet is alive and running a successful business in Australia.
