How Close Are You to the Border?

The SAS were deployed close to the East German border during World War II. They would have been within a kilometer of their enemy as they tried to move into Germany. Their job was to slow them down and let tanks roll over top of them before engaging with them. 'I just remember thinking to myself if anything trundles this way we're going to have them' says ex-SAS officer.
