Is Consciousness Substrate Dependent?
Is it possible to generate consciousness emerge on say silicon chips? Is there something about the nature of human biology that is unique and cannot be replicated, let's say, on silicon chips? So I've come around to the idea that maybe consciousness is not substrate dependent. But this is one of the questions that potentially would prevent full emergence of consciousness and simulations.
