TPRS - Don't Work Too Hard on Your Students
When you're finished the story, oral would be invent a new end to the story or come up with a different start. Then you can do things like timed rights. These are quite common where you get students to write out the story in a certain amount of time and you're just looking for fluency. How much can they write down, how much can they remember? It could be that you show them two pictures that are related to the story. There's the reading and maybe they'll listen to another story that you've prerecorded of you speaking but it's very similar and they'll answer questions about it. So there's a variety of stuff you can do with assessment.
