Sometimes our job as a therapist is to verbalize our reaction responsibly appropriately. Sometimes I've been the one who was says like, you know, I felt something when that was said,. That made me feel anxious or sad or that took my breath away. It can be helpful to self-disgosing those ways to bring awareness of how shut down the couple has become.
