Using the Let Modifies the Structure of the Object
Javscript objects operate like property bags, or even dictionaries. Using the let modifies the structure of the object which gets in the way of the javuscript engine being able to optimize the dcode. The only use that you might have for the delet operator in javescript is when you're using the object really explicitly as a mat but then i might argue that these days, you should probably be using the new mack type rather than using an object for it.
