Rhona Rima: The paradigm of colorblindness is coming back with a vengeance. She says the Plessy versus Ferguson decision made the argument that in terms of political equality, civil rights equality, black people were equivalent. But they were fundamentally inferior and had no obligation to ensure social equality when one race be inferior to another. "It's actually worse than what you say because it's not even just saying that the Constitution or the law can't do anything about it," she says.
