Some critics of the film script have said that they believe Levinson was taking out grievances in the films writing through black characters. Zendaya says some of the criticism makes it seems like she and Washington who are producers on the film, didn't have any input. She actually went around to the cast and crew and in addition to them being paid, they got investments on the like profit sharing of the movie. And then finally, you play victim when it's like, and it didn't win awards. But yeah, so she responded to some specific criticisms.
