Heilmar Shacht: A Nazi Minister of Economics

Kung: Heilmar Shacht is a very interesting person, just kind of positioning him as playing a major role in Germany's recovery and then the eventual military buildup before World War II. It was partly his policies that helped in that really damaging hyperinflation that was going on in Germany, Eimend which led to the Nazi administration taking over. For them, Gart devised various ways of raising funds to finance German rearmament,. particularly what was called the Mepo bills.
