Dicarboxylic acid ester is a type of prodrug that is not prohibited anywhere. That's just an idea, another little piece of the puzzle. All this stuff ultimately becomes part of our global drug community for better or worse. I don't think chemists are very innovative, whether they're working within the bounds of the law or outside it.
