One of the things I miss about my old job is the hunt for information. As an FBI Agent, I had far less satisfaction in the FBI's version of national security work - watching electronic FISA returns is like waiting for paint to dry. But when you are doing physical surveillance (what we call "FISUR"), there is a certain thrill in building a case in person.
