We don't want to run the risk of parents getting hung up on or only focusing on administering consequences for their children's wrong behavior. There is so much more to training and instructing our kids than consequences. So Katie and I try very hard to keep the main thing, the main things, and that's pointing our kids to their need for Jesus.
