The Connection Between Military Adventurism and Liberties at Home
During wartime, liberties historically have been curtailed. The Defense Production Act was passed in 1950 as part of the Korean War effort. That affects economic freedom because government planning and intervention necessarily trumps and replaces private decision making. Of course, internationally, war making is a pathway to violating the freedoms and liberties and human rights of people abroad.
