To Felipizio may have used the word Kipu, the Inca word for their knotted string device on which they stored records. One can only wonder just what words the native interpreter used to convey the idea of objects for which the Incas had no known equivalents. I don't know if they had the idea of words or there was books, there wasn't writing and so whatever the local interpreter they didn't, who knows what they would have said.
