The peacock theory is the idea that you it's a way to show offycause wordle has that plug rigt. It's almost like they designed it using your your like list here, cause there's that moment wher yu can go, look at me. The same with the spelling ve or cross words. And so the ideais sort of showing off. I can tell you, my worst experience in an escaperoom was when we all got convinced that we understood what was the issue and had already figured it out. We just weren't willing to admit that maybe there was another way to look at the problem. So it's just like you in the escape room.

Our guest in this episode is A.J. Jacobs, the the four-time New York Times bestselling author of The Year of Living Biblically, Thanks A Thousand, It’s All Relative, and The Know It All.
His new book, The Puzzler, is a fun, weird, refreshingly scientific book all about the human brain's fascination with puzzles. Seriously, there’s all sorts of explorations in the book about neural pathways, behavioral routines, how we learn, what gets us into loops, and - this is true - a few attempts to solve the puzzle of our very existence.
