Tom gardner is our horn of the africa correspondent. He had been reporting on ethiopia's 19 month long civil war. The country has endured a year and a half of civil war that's spilled out of the region of tigrey into amhara, even drawing in fighters from neighboring eretrea. A group of activists linked to the ethiopian government tried to have him deported last month.
