How Did You Get Your First Freelance Web Design Job?

I was actually dating a girl in high school who was building websites on geocities which was the way that you built websites back then. I quickly realized that it wasn't just the code that you wrote especially back then you needed design abilities and so I wanted Photoshop. Back then if you wanted to do rounded corners on a website you had to like make images and slice them out. If you want to do drop shadows any of that stuff you had to you know now you just type like border radius you know five pixels and that's it.
