It is the pure consciousness itself that which objectifies the entire universe. You cannot grasp it by the motor organs, organs of action. So there is no way of knowing it through the senses. And we know why. It is without any source. Agotram. For any Hindu it means lineage. Who are your forefathers? What is your source? Shankaracharya translates as anmaya mulam. That means does it have a root a source? We are the ornaments. Their source is gold. The waves in the water, the source is water.

Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Mundaka Upanishad which one of the major Upanishads belonging to the Atharva Veda. Mundaka means ''shaved'' like a shaved head. The teachings revealed in this Upanishad are meant to leave the student clean, or shaved of the veil of ignorance. Indeed, the study of this Upanishad has been traditionally confined to the shaven-heads, or the sannyasins, who have renounced everything and devoted themselves exclusively to contemplation.
