How to Write a Book in a Year or Less
This will be my sixth book in 14 years. My first draft typically will be anywhere between 70 and 80 thousand words for a typical manuscript. For me, i've just found that 500 words is the sweet spot. It allows me to focus on what i'm writing. If you make steady progress every single day, you're going to end up with a body of work that is substantial. While people who write forty books in their lifetime sit down each night knowing they have at least one more novel coming out next year.
