I'd Like to Reject the Libertarian Bit of Determinism

i don't like the standard definition of determinism, which is in terms of everything being entailed by laws and initial conditions. i actually think that according to that definition, we should all be compatiblists. It's not a thesis of physics because it's modal. So i'm not sure how er, a scientific er proof would ever, would ever come about. And so we have to look to other resources to try to figure out whether they might be true or not.
