The Effects of Different Treatment Patterns on Acute Myocardial Infarction

Clinical guidelines recommend two strategies for statin therapy, both of which are widely accepted and used in clinical practice. The efficacy and safety of these two strategies has not been directly compared. 4,400 participants with coronary artery disease were enrolled at 12 centers in South Korea between September 2016 and November 2019; 98% of patients completed the trial. In the treat to target group, the mean LDL-C for three years was 69.1 and not statistically different from 68.4 in the high-intensity statin group.
