In 2017, a woman bought four ceramic plates at a Salvation Army for $8. It turns out those plates were made by Pablo Picasso and she sold three of them for more than $40,000. Last year, an antiquities collector heard that the former St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia was going through a conversion after being sold. The stained glass windows turned out to be worth as much as $100,000 each. An old metal cylinder sold at a flea market and heard for sure for 20 pounds, it's about $25, turned up to be a late medieval hand cannon made of bronze.
