The Incentives of the Teachers Unions
In the past year and a half, we've seen private schools fighting to reopen and charter schools fighting to remain closed. The main difference is one of incentives that one of those sectors gets your money regardless of whether they open their doors for business. And so if you introduce more competition in the labor market, that should lead to more autonomy for teachers and better benefits as well.
