The Warspight and the Royal Navy
On January 7th 1942 a month after Pearl Harbor the warspight would leave Bremerton. The crew knew that they would be called upon to participate in the fighting but with recent examples of how battleships would fare under Japanese air attack there was great concern about what the future held. In those days the Australian bars opened at six in the morning and closed at six at night so you can imagine people were well entertained.
