The holy roman empire would formally dissolve just shy of ten years hence, after the battle of austerlitz in 18 o six. Many of the seeds that helped that disillusion along were planted at the congress of rostadt. The french thought they were about to conquer like the whole mediterranean, and the austrians just watched the one guy who had really given them trouble sail far, far away.
