The Church of England Predates the First 13th Century

Some argue that english christianity pre dates the sixteenth century by over a thousand years. Tats agod: I'm not saying that there isn't historical development post 15 58. It doesn't mean that we ignore everything that happened in the mediaeval church, some of which was wonderful and a wonderful working out of the gospel message. But it's certainly true to day, sad to say, that many non anglican evangelical ignore that history,. completely leap frog over the entire mediaeval church...that's a shame. That really is evidence of a lack of historical consciousness."
