What's the Point of the Book of Jonah?

Jonah is deftly one of those stories we've herd a million times. Westerners get hung up on the idea that happened, like the point of jonahs to tell us that it happened. An easterner is designed to look for the problems and to work into the problems. This whole book is riddled with problems. First of all, jonah is the worst prophet in biblical history. Like he is. He is absolutely the worst. But i think when we start wrestling with whether or not it happened or not, we might be on an adventure in missing the point. These like the whole job of a prophet was sometimes a certain level of artistic expertise which demands attention.
