Patent Monopoly

Inflation caused by patent monopolies, not two thousand dollar checks. People at the top spending more on housing, cars, vacations than increase demand in economy. We'll spend about 520 billion dollars this year on prescription drugs. That's a huge amount of money. If we snapped our fingers, got rid of all patents and related protections, we'd almost certainly be spending less than a hundred billion a year.
